The 42nd Annual
Concord Mass. Area CROP Walk for the Hungry
Will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at First Parish in Concord. Registration begins at 1:30, with music by the CCHS Pep Band, and the step-off will be at 2:15
I’m writing to let you know that the Crop Walk will be on Oct. 23 this year, and we are planning for an in-person walk, as we did in 2021. We raised over $27,000 last year! We so appreciate First Congregational Church’s past participation; the money you raise makes a big difference in fighting hunger, both locally and globally. Please put this on your church calendar, and plan to participate. We will have music by the Concord-Carlisle Pep Band before the Walk, and refreshments afterward. I hope that your youth will also make a banner for the banner parade, which they can then display at your church before the walk to encourage sponsors to make donations. Please let me know if you have any questions.
You can find out more about the Walk on our website, www.concordcrop.org.

About Concord CROP
CROP Hunger Walks are neighbors walking together to take a stand against hunger in our world.
Funds raised by the Concord area CROP Walk go to Church World Service (CWS) for worldwide emergency relief of disasters, such as floods, hurricanes, and earthquakes; for refugee aid; and for fighting the root causes of hunger through community development programs in 30 underdeveloped countries. In addition, one-quarter of these funds raised will provide substantial contributions to the nine local supper/food pantry programs that we support.
Online Sponsoring, and Donating
You can sponsor a walker, or just donate to the CROP Walk online through the Concord CROP page of the CROP Hunger Walk website. Walkers can also accept cash or checks. Checks should be made payable to CWS/CROP.
