Hello families and Happy Spring!
I would like to invite our church school kids to an outdoor Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday April 3rd. Between the hours of 10-12 am (weather permitting), there will be eggs located on the side lawn of the church. There will be a scavenger hunt list in the lesson plan bucket at the side entrance to the church guiding you on how many of each color to collect and the significance of the colors. Each egg will have a treat inside.
Although we will all be excited to see our friends after so long, please remember to stay socially distant and wear a mask. To help keep the fun safe, I am asking that all families send me an email or Facebook message to register ahead of time. This way I can help to stagger the hunt and make it socially distant respecting the town’s rules at this time. If you arrive while another family is hunting, please remain in the car until they are finished. Please bring your own baskets or bags to collect the eggs in. Hand sanitizer will be available at the side entrance to the church. Can’t wait to see you all! Please remember to post pictures on our church school Facebook page.
I wanted to take a moment to Thank those who have sent in cards for our two confirmands, Abby Brogan and Catherine McGee. If you haven’t already done so, please send one in. I will be presenting the cards to the girls at our virtual Confirmation service which will be aired on April 18th at 9:30 am. Their confirmation class has not had an easy year with Covid postponing lessons and ending the class early in 2020, so let’s show them all some love as we celebrate virtually with them in a few weeks. We will be celebrating with a coffee hour dedicated in their honor just as soon as we are able.
As a reminder we will NOT be having a church school zoom lesson on Easter Sunday. I will have Holy Week packets made available and you can celebrate at your leisure at home.
