The giving Tree

 The Christian Outreach Committee has arranged to have a Giving Tree in the Narthex and a smaller one in Fellowship Hall beginning Sunday, November 24th.  The Giving Tree is one of our church’s outreach opportunities for the Christmas season.      Members of the congregation are invited to select a tag from one of the Giving Trees.  Gifts will be donated to HOPE for Kids (House of Peace and Education) in Gardner, The Department of Children and Family     Services in Leominster, the…

Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service

This year the Ecumenical Thanksgiving Service will take place here at the First Congregational Church on Sunday, November 24, at 7:00 PM. Advent begins on Sunday, December 1st. Advent means “coming.” During the Advent season, Christians remember the preparation for the Savior’s birth, celebrate his presence among us, and anticipate his return. Join us in worship as we focus on the true meaning of Christmas!

Advent workshop and Soup Supper

The Advent Workshop and Soup Supper sponsored by the Christian Education Committee will be Saturday afternoon, November 30, from 3:30-6:30. This is a wonderful tradition in our church which provides a time for everyone, no matter what age they are, to come together with their church “family” and focus on what the season of  Advent means. Following the workshop is a soup supper. Each “family” is invited to bring a soup to share. It does not have to be homemade. Canned…
