Welcome back to church school!

Welcome back to church school!

Hi Families!
Welcome back to church school! This year we are excited to start off the year similar to how we were pre-covid! We are going back to the model where children will first be attending the service with their families before being dismissed to church school with the teachers where we will then gather in the lower hall (Covenant Hall) before going to our classes. The first Sunday of the month is going to be Family Sunday.
On Family Sunday the children will be invited to stay and worship with their entire church family for the entirety of the Communion service. We will be including them in special parts of the service and it gives a great opportunity for the kids to see and feel the flow of how the service takes place from beginning to end (and also for our congregation to see them grow!) This applies to school-aged children ages 4 and up.
Our theme this year is Superheroes of the Bible and is based upon Joshua 1:9. “Be strong and of good courage.” We will be following our rotation model and will be focused on some of our favorite Bible characters like Moses and David, as well as learning about some new friends.
Church school registration begins on 9/11 following the service down in Fellowship Hall. The official start of church school is on 9/18 and is our first classroom rotation. We will be having three rotations learning about a Bible story in three different ways and the fourth week will be our popular “Escape room” which is called Heroes Hall to go with our theme.
Dependent upon our numbers this year, the children will be divided into classrooms based on age. The Nursery is open weekly for our little member’s ages 0-3, all nursery children can be dropped off in the Nursery prior to the start of service for a smoother transition.
As always please feel free to reach out with any questions.
Enjoy your last days of summer with your families! Can’t wait to see you all!
