Hi families!
It’s been so nice to have church school in person and to see all of your smiling faces!! As we head into the advent season we have a few announcements.
If you have a child in the nursery or the preschool/ kindergarten classroom we are asking you to please send me a message by Fridays at 6 pm to let us know if your child will be attending church school for that Sunday. We love to see each little person and hope that more kiddos will continue to pour in as fall sports and activities wind down.
We are doing this so that our volunteer teachers can make other commitments for the weekend if there are no children in those age groups that will be attending for that particular Sunday. Keeping this in mind, if you have a last-minute change of heart or forget to send a message, your family is of course always welcomed to church school and we will combine the child with the older classrooms. Also if you have signed up and Sunday morning rolls around and you can no longer attend, we realize these things happen and we will go with the flow.
Advent workshop is coming up quickly! It will be held this year on Saturday, November 27. Due to last year’s success, we will be doing the luminary bags again! The week prior to the workshop, luminary bags, and ornaments will be available outside of the side church door in a tote for you to pick up. Please take them home and create your masterpieces. Join us on 11/27 at 5 pm to decorate the sanctuary and tree and to drop off your luminary bags outside of the church. We will then be gathering outside at 6 pm for Christmas carols.
